Is there Aimtrak Lightgun Hyperspin pack wheel ?
« on: March 11, 2019, 04:00:47 pm »
Well, I'm nearly there with completing my build and having a basic hyperspin working on it.

One of the main reason I wanted to do this was to re-live the good old lightgun type games - everything from Duck Hunt to Time crisis etc.

I think it's out of my knowledge base at the moment to be able to pull in different emulators for different games under the same wheel so was wondering if anyone has actually done it and made the 'pack' available for others ?

I've found a few threads etc about people setting up a wheel specifically for lightgun games but never found anything complete.

I made my own wheel.
Also I made quite a few wheel arts for many of the newer light gun games and uploaded them to the HS database.

That just it - I’m a complete novice at HS and only just getting my head around it so don’t think I’ll be able to do what I want yet.

I’ll have a look at the xml and see if I can gain anything from it.

Fingers crossed.

(P.S. - where is the HS database! :)

Its very easy to create wheels.
Just watch some YT vids, Simply Austin and giga pig do some excellent ones.

HS has a art database on their site.

So I've created my wheel with graphics etc I've pulled together (No videos yet) and an xml with the list of the games I want included in the LightGun Games wheel (Area51, Duck Hunt, Extreme Hunting, space pirates  etc etc).

These are obviously from different systems like MAME, NES, American Laser but I'm not sure how to get HS to pull in the specific emulator when I chose a game.

i.e. if I pick Duck Hunt from the wheel it'll pull RetroArch (NES) but if I pick Time Crisis it'll pull MAME.

https://hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/7424-hyperxmlspin/

HyperXMLspin is the software I used to make my favorites list, hell i worked so well I made 2, one for console games and one for arcade games..

the files created are also supposed to shareable, assuming all the emulators are named the same.. I can send you my console one if you want to have a look at the .xml

I attached my xml after renaming the extension to .txt

hope it helps
