  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
I cannot get an 'ok sync' on my Jpac into a Nanao 2930 (manual switching) on my Blast City. I'm running an ati 5450 in a Dell optiplex. I installed Groovyarcade 2019 successfully and set my monitor to Nanao MS2930 in the video options. When I powered down the pc and connected it to the Jpac/Blast I get no sync,I powered on the arcade and saw that the image was scrambled so I'm assuming its trying to display 30khz. When I go to the video options and change the monitor type nothing changes,I tried the various 'arcade monitor' presets, not just the 2930.

I installed everything and did the initial setup/HDD install on an old Dell VGA CRT then switched over to the Blast once it was installed. Not sure if that affected anything.

My Blast is not the auto switching model, you have to manually set the jumpers on the control panel. I'd like to play at 15khz. I also tried setting the jumpers on the Jpac to 15/30 and just 15 with no difference.

Yeah, that's the issue. You need to redo all the video configuration. Notice you have 2 separate video configurations to do, one for the boot sequence/menu, and one for X (frontend, MAME).
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.
